We have been living in Charlottesville, Virginia for the past two and a half years while Scott attends medical school at the University of Virginia. Scott is usually studying, so Brighton and I have become pretty creative on keeping ourselves busy. As you all know, I was pretty upset when we found out that we were moving because we have the most amazing family and friends a person could ask for. Its taken a little while to get use to, but we love it thanks to very special friends. Life on the east coast is very different but fun. It is so weird to drive only a couple of hours and pass through several states. It is definitely georgous out here and there is plenty to do. We have gone up to Manhatten several times to visit Scott's brother and we go to D.C. and Richmond quite a bit too. It's also nice because the beach is only an hour and a half away. The history out here is amazing and the campus is beautiful, it was designed by Thomas Jefferson. For the most part eveything in this town is redbrick, black shutters and white columns, very colonial style. As you all know, Brighton and I travel back to Utah every six weeks to work for a few days. It is so great and we are loving it. So for now we get the best of both worlds.

My Princess pumpkin

Brighton insisted on being a princess this year but I had already bought her costume so we convinced her that she was the princess pumpkin off of Cinderella.

John McCain and Sarah Palin

Ok is this not the cutest thing ever. All you people from Utah you may know who I'm talking about. These are Mike Morgan's kids. They dressed their kids up as John McCain and Sarah Palin. Is this not hilarious.

I know I'm Pathetic!

My blog is not only sad but very pathetic. I realize I am about six months behind but I am hopefully going to catch up in the next few days. I don't know how all of you do it with your daily posts. It always seems like I have a million things to do and this just happens to be at the bottom of the list and I rarely reach the bottom. I have so many things I want to get done before this baby and this is one of them. So sorry friends. I love you and thanks for putting up with me.

Carving pumpkins with daddy

Scott and Bri spent the evening carving pumpkins. She loves her daddy.

We spent the day with our friends stopping first at the chocolate festival where the girls had to get their faces painted, then off to the Hughes where we roasted marshmellows and drank hot chocolate.

Ward Sock Hop

We had so much fun at the ward Sock Hop. I thought I would try to be domestic and make poodle skirts for Brighton and my friend Jessica's two girls.

4th of July

We had a fabulous 4th of July. We started the day at the ward breakfast where the kids decorated their bike's/cars and had a parade. Then we were off to MInt Springs where we played on the beach and in the water for the afternoon. Last we had a BBQ at the Cannon's where we had a great dinner, fireworks and my favorite, homeade ice cream.
